Many artists in the film industry believe that knowledge of language is necessary to convey the expressions and emotions in any scene to the audience in the right manner. Actor Aamir Khan has a good command over Hindi. However, as an actor, he got the opportunity to work in Gujarati language for the first time on stage and he did not know this language. However, Aamir did not want to miss the opportunity, so he did a Gujarati play. He says, I started working with theatre. During college, I was associated with a theater group. Mahendra Joshi, who was associated with it, used to do Gujarati plays, but I was hoping that if he did a Hindi play someday, I would get a chance. About one and a half years after I joined, he was doing a Hindi play with Deven Bhojani, Vipul Shah and Makrand Deshpande. Deven said that due to personal reasons, I would not be able to do it. After this, Joshi ji told Vipul Shah to teach Aamir his lines. Then I sat with Vipul Shah and memorized all my lines. This is how I worked in the first play.
