This year, amidst reality shows, docu-series garnered a lot of attention. The Angry Men documentary series on the superhit film writing duo Salim-Javed (Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar) was produced by their children Salman Khan, Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar for Netflix. In this documentary, the story of their friendship to their separation was shown in their own words. The documentary series Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale, made on the life of South Indian actress Nayanthara, showed aspects ranging from her career to her personal life and her marriage with producer-director Vignesh Shivan. Today released documentary Honey Singh: Famous on Punjabi rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh shows his journey from Hirdesh Singh to Honey Singh. It has been produced by Oscar winning producer Guneet Monga. The life and career of SS Rajamouli, director of Baahubali and RRR films, was covered in a 74-minute documentary.
