Recently released biopic of blind businessman Shrikant Bola, Shrikant, was successful at the box office earning Rs 50.5 crore. Starring Rajkumar Rao, Alaya F and Jyothika, this film is directed by Tushar Hiranandani. He has previously directed the film Saand Ki Aankh. Talking to Dainik Jagran about the learnings from the success of Shrikant, Tushar says, ‘The success of this film gave us the confidence that whatever we are doing is right. Our first film Saand Ki Aankh was also like that. I will not lie that I do not want box office figures, but along with that I also need the confidence to make a good film.’
Every minute is precious: Often there are complaints about actors coming late on film sets and often holding personal meetings on the set. On this, Tushar says, ‘Every moment on the set is precious. People take money for their work, so they should work in the same way. Many actors do not respect their producer’s money and time. Some actors hold meetings on the sets of the shooting. This is not appropriate.
