Every artist believes in experimenting with his art. Sarfarosh, Lagaan and Ready films actor Akhilendra Mishra will be seen in Kamal Haasan, Siddharth and Rakulpreet Singh starrer Hindustani 2, releasing on July 12. Talking to Dainik Jagran about this film, Akhilendra says, ‘I have tried to do a new experiment in this film. We artists often do such experiments in dramas. Such experiments are not done in films. Director Shankar contacted me in the year 2019 for this film. He wanted a North Indian actor for this role. He told me that I want you to play this role. Earlier he was going to come to Mumbai to meet me for this film, but later the plans changed and he called me to Chennai to meet him. I have played the role, but I have not seen the film yet. So I do not know how my work looks on screen. Both Shankar and Kamal Haasan are amazing directors and actors in their own right. Both of them have experimented with the subject matter in this film.
